Signs of Life Presented by Signs United
ABOUT THE EXHIBIT
Vintage signs tell us stories if we’re willing to stop for a moment and notice. They speak of a simpler time when business owners could lure passing motorists with brightly lit arrows, bowling pins, diving ladies, cocktail glasses, flashing bulbs and color TV by RCA. There are still signs of the past around and we drive by them every day. Most of us take these signs for granted, but members of Signs United don’t.
These gems are disappearing all too rapidly from our lives. With this exhibit we hope to inspire others to see these incredible time portals through a fresh lens and appreciate their inherent charm and beauty.
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Signs United is a collective of sign photographers, artists, neon benders and preservationists devoted to the beauty and history of vintage signage.
The photographers in this exhibit all met through Instagram and bonded over our mutual love and appreciation of each other’s vintage sign photography.
